Travel 

By flight

Depending on where you are coming from, there are several options for flying to Florence:

• The best option is to fly directly to Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR). You can reach the city centre by tram in 20 minutes.
• If you can get a cheaper flight, you can also fly to Pisa Galileo Galilei airport (PSA). Pisa is 1 hour from Florence by regional train and you should take the train to Florence Central Station (Santa Maria Novella). Buses are also available.
• If you arrive at Roma Fiumicino International Airport, there are fast trains (1h45m) to Florence Central Station. Some trains depart directly from Fiumicino airport. Other trains leave from Roma Termini or Roma Tiburtina stations.
• If you arrive at Milan Malpensa International Airport, there are fast trains (2h15) to Florence Central Station.

By train

You should travel to Firenze Santa Maria Novella, which is Florence's main railway station.

By car

Travelling to Florence by car can be very problematic for parking reasons.
An interesting solution is to park your car in the Villa Costanza car park on the A1/E35 motorway.
You can reach the car park directly from the motorway by taking the "Casello A1 Villa Costanza" exit:

A fast and efficient tram service connects the Villa Costanza car park with Florence Santa Maria Novella Central Station in the heart of Florence in 22 minutes.
The tram service runs from 5.00 to 00.30 during the week and from 5.00 to 2.00 at weekends.
