Introduction

The Department develops its research activities in all the typical areas that characterize the agricultural, food, environmental and forestry sectors. The planning is carried out through the participation in competitive calls, at regional, national and international level, with public and private bodies and organizations. Strong is the collaboration with the territory, the public administrations, the business sector, in different fields such as agriculture, food, manufacturing, etc. The intense research activity of the DAGRI is realized in the greatest number of European projects among all the Departments of the Florentine University.
